Louvre Golden Blanket.

Miss A

These images are of the newly opened section of the Louvre museum dedicated to Islamic art and Antiquities. I managed to visit the Bellini and Riciotti designed component a week after opening and it is a beautifully delicate composition of platform levels, suspended and glass encased art and artifacts and an aluminum golden mesh blanket that hovers in an almost undulating motion over the exhibit.

Being a museum groupie, the Louvre maintains its iconic status as one of the most astounding collectors of art and history and more impressive than that is the finesse and attention to detail of the exhibit spaces which is a sight to behold in itself.

Henri Loyrette, the director and curator of the Louvre and Musee d’Orsay proves that him and his team are really the best at putting on a timeless show.
